Despite the cooling weather, November is when things start heating up for the Holidays at Spindleworks. We will once again will take part in the Five Rivers Arts Alliance Holiday Art Festival and Sale, taking place November 13-15 in Downtown Brunswick. For this event and through the end of the year, Spindleworks presents: Home for the Holidays in the Whatnot Gallery. Because of the skill and dedication of the artists at Spindleworks, what is practical is also beautiful. The gallery will be full of home goods, many of which started on the loom. From placemats, napkins and table runners to pillows and kitchen towels, there will be an assortment of items to bring color to your home all the year long. In addition to woven goods, there will be the latest works from our pottery studio, including vases, bowls, serving dishes, cups and mugs. As always, the entire center is a gallery of works by our 48 member artists, and visitors will be able to peruse the studios for the entire weekend, and find special deals and sales only available during this special weekend
As well as staying “home” for the holidays, Spindleworks artwork will be on view for the month at both the Little Dog Coffee Shop at 87 Maine Street, and Gallery Framing at 12 Pleasant Street. Both of these venues have after 5:00 and weekend hours, so if you cannot find your way to Lincoln Street during our regular business hours or on the weekend of November 13-15, be sure to swing by either one of these locations for your holiday art shopping.
