Spindleworks is often known for an exuberance of color expressed through paintings, weavings, pottery and other creations. What can sometimes be missed in the glory of color is the subtle powerin the initial mark making, early sketches, and ideas that happen daily in the studios. In this month’s exhibit, Monochrome, Spindleworks shares a selection of these striking and rich monochromatic pieces. As well as drawings, Monochrome includes new works from our pottery and sculpture studio as well as experiments from the newly established photography program. Please join us for the Second Friday ArtWalk July 11th, 5-8pm.

For this summer’s library show, we have chosen a sampling of works from the collection that highlight some of our more well known artists. While two have passed, the others are alive and well, one of whom continues to create at the studios on Lincoln Street. While none of the pieces in this exhibit are for sale, more work by each of these artists is available for view and purchase at Spindleworks. Artists represented in this show are: Rita Langlois, John Joyce, Steve Mann, Terri Bonin and Betty Pinette.
