Spindleworks will be among 200 of the world’s finest craft artists to showcase work at Craftboston, New England’s premiere exhibition and sale of contemporary craft. Craftboston features a full range of craft media, including baskets, ceramics, decorative fiber, wearables, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper and wood. Additionally, Craftboston will feature work by emerging artists from leading schools and universities, an artist mentor program, a craft book seller, an educational lecture series, tours for guests who are blind, visually impaired, deaf or hard of hearing and other special interest groups, and informational booths promoting non-profit craft organizations.
Show Dates and Times
Craftboston will be open to the public on Friday, April 19, 2012 from 10am-6pm, Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 10am-6pm, and Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 11am-5pm. A Preview Party will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Preview tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door for $150 per person. A second tier preview party ticket is also available for $50 in advance or at the door. Educational lectures and guided tours are scheduled Friday-Sunday, and are included in the price of Craftboston admission.
General Admission: $15, Senior Citizens: $13, SAC Members: $7.50, Children 12 years and under: Free. Admission tickets valid for re-admission throughout the entire weekend.
Craftboston is presented by The Society of Arts and Crafts (SAC). Incorporated in 1897, SAC has been at the forefront of the American craft movement fostering the development, sales, recognition and education of craft for over 100 years. The mission of SAC is to support excellence in craft by encouraging the creation, collection, and conservation of the work of craft artists and by educating and promoting public appreciation of contemporary craft.
